Write-up
This mammoth trading card set was issued one at a time over a long period, from 1993 through 2008, at The Booksmith in San Francisco, California. When the book store hosted an author for a signing they issued a trading card to commorate the author's appearance.
They were all printed in limited numbers, although as to how many of each were printed is up for discussion. Reports say most were limited to 200-300. As an example, card #90 (George Takei of Star Trek fame) was limited to 200 and 20 of those were kept by the store for some later use. As you can gather from that information, these cards are difficult to come across.
