Cardlynx issued promotional cards in magazines and at trade shows in England to promote its various collector card sets. Although the cards do not identify themselves as promotional, they differ from the regular issues in several ways. The fronts feature the "Cardlynx" logo in a black banner with the set title printed in small type, while the backs omit the card number and descriptive text found on the regular issues, instead listing other available Cardlynx sets. Some examples also include the name and contact information of a card retailer.
