SATURDAY SERIALS

Epic released two factory sets featuring old movie serials such as Batman, Lone Ranger, and Flash Gordon. They also sent out a sample pack of four cards from the first series of cards that appear to be simply base cards from the retail set but they are different on the backs.

The retail cards have the copyright information on the right side in the border, whereas the promotional versions have the copyright information on the bottom. Also in the pack was a sticker and the retail set did not contain a sticker. These came in a paper wrapper with graphics, another piece that was not part of the retail issue as there was not a wrapper. The pack is sealed with a sticker saying "For more information..." and gives an address.

This pack was issued in very limited quantities.
